Europe was hit by “the black storm” one week ago, and we could enjoy really wild waves on the west coast. It`s a very special feeling to head out in such massive conditions. You feel really small when you see those big mountains of water just surrounding you. The ocean is pretty all over the place with such extreme power, and you can really feel it when you’re out there. Lots of adrenaline and stoke this day :)
Big thanks to my brother Thomas who shoot some pictures in between the rain showers!
I`ve had a couple of sessions on my new Wainman Hawaii Rabbit kites (RG3), and have written a few words on my first impression with them.
I just love the new control bar, it just feels perfect in my hands. It’s simple with no unnecessary stuff, which also is very good for safety in the Waves. The bar itself is thinner, so it gives a much better grip. It looks very strong and durable, and the new safety release and ding is great. Everything on it is just clean and for me it fits perfect.
The first thing I noticed on the kites is how stable they are, they just sits perfect in the sky. All the sizes seem perfectly tuned, and it feels amazing to ride them. They are fast, responsive and you always know what they are doing. They let you focus on the wave, and not too much on the kite.
When it comes to water start they are insane. They pop back up in air almost without any action from the rider.
For me one of the big likes is how they can drift “down the line”, it`s amazing how they will stay in the air! This again lets you focus more on the wave.
They also seem very strong and solid, which is really important. You need a kite you can trust.
One thing I always have loved with the Rabbit kites is their wide range of skills. And the RG3 is no exception; this kite will do it all. Waves, freeride and even freestyle these guys can handle. I have always liked the 3 different setup options on the front lines (downwind, middle and upwind). It`s really easy to do, and it gives every rider the possibility to tune the kite to their personal style.
They all got a new one pump system, which works really well. I imagine it will be especially well appreciated in the snowkite community. The new bags are also very well done, and looks solid.
I am really looking forward to hit the wave season in Norway with the new Rabbit kites, can`t wait to get out there.
And of course the kites are looking totally awesome:

This summer we went back to our favourite island Fuerteventura in the Canarias. This time we stayed for 4 weeks and had a lot of fun! The wind and waves where awesome as always. We truly miss it, and it will not be long until we once again return. That place is chill!
Here are some pictures I shoot with the GoPro:
A small edit from a wave session earlier this year. Location Jæren, Norway.
I had a great trip to Fuerteventura in march this year. I was really lucky with the conditions, and scored a lot of amazing sessions ! The wind was on every day for two weeks, and my 6,25 Gypsy really got to work on this trip :)
Fuerteventura once again delivers the stuff! I just love this place, and you really feel welcome here! Once again thank you for a great time Fuerte!
If you are planing a trip hook up with Fadi Issa, one of the pioneers of the sport and a really great guy! He offers surf and kite lessons, accomodation, wainman dealer and more. Check out his setup here: http://www.ksfuerte.com/
Some pics from the two weeks of kitesurf:
Zero waves these days, so I grabbed my old custom Jimmy Lewis board and took a trip to the local flat water spot. A sick spot with absolute amazing conditions, world class! It`s just so much fun riding this board, a 112 cm long twin tip made by Jimmy Lewis with input from the legend Lou.
It can do amazing speed and turns, and just feels like nothing else! It can even do mobes! It`s truly my favorite twin tip board of all time! Some pics of the action:
Big thanks to Pål for the Picture :)
